Basic RiderCourse 2 (formerly Experienced Rider Course)

The Basic Rider Course 2 is approximately 8 hours long, and is done completely on the range using your personal motorcycle or scooter. Testing is optional in this class.  If you are attending for the purposes of obtaining a license waiver you will not be allowed to ride the course with a passenger.

IMPORTANT!  PLEASE READ:

1. You must be able to get your bike to the range legally, which means that if you don’t already have a motorcycle endorsement you must have a Learner’s Permit. If you ride your bike to the class, the instructor will request to see one or the other. If you have neither, you could trailer your bike to the range.
2. The minimum liability insurance is required on your motorcycle for you to attend this class. Make sure that you bring your insurance card with you. The instructor will request to see it.
3. You must provide proof of ownership of the bike you are going to ride in the class. Normally, the registration on the bike with your name on it will meet this requirement. If the bike is not yours, you must have a written, notorized letter from the owner giving you permission to ride the bike. The bike and you must still meet all the above requirements.
4. The BRC2 assumes that you already have basic motorcycle control skills, and/or that you have taken the Basic Rider Course. The first exercise in the BRC2 is a warm up for you and your bike, and it is also to assure the Instructors that you have the necessry skills to safely participate in the follow-on exercises. Students who are unable to demonstrate sufficient skills in the first exercise will be counseled out of the course and advised to register for the BRC. No refunds will be provided if you cannot demonstrate basic control skills.
